Legacy Leaders Leadership Clubs
This club focuses on Leaving a Legacy and is open to interested Grade 4-6 students. Students take leadership roles through the school year in school spirit activities, fundraising opportunities and acts of community service. We encourage students to be change-makers in our world. Some of the leadership opportunities in our school are safety patrollers, lunch monitors, broadcasters, green team, and more.
| BROADCASTER | BUS BUDDY |
| This role is for Grade 5 & 6 students. Broadcasters will be responsible for our morning announcements. Must be at the office by 8:55 am to read the morning announcements over the intercom. | This is a role for older students who ride the bus. They would be responsible for collecting all bus students at the end of the day from the assigned grade K-2 class. They will be dismissed from their homeroom at 3:05 pm and then go collect the students from their class and walk them to the bus. |
| GREEN TEAM | LEGACY LEADER |
| This role is open to students in Grade 4. Every Monday morning this team will go to each classroom and collect the recycling bins. These bins will be placed outside the doors of the grade 4-6 entrance. At 10:30 am the recycling company will come and empty the bins. After lunch, the green team will collect the empty bins from outside and return them to their proper location. | This role is for Grade 5 & 6 students. They are responsible for leading the Legacy Leader Assemblies. Some roles that may be assigned are: Gym Assembly: announcers, greeters (at the door), photographer, set up crew, clean up crew, etc. |
| LUNCH BUDDY | |
| This role is open to all students in grade 4-6. The students will be assigned to a grade 1-3 classroom to support students while they are eating lunch. The student may be assigned to sit with one specific student to help them eat or directed by the supervisor to help many students open lunch snacks etc. This student will be assigned to the same room for one week. | |
| RECESS BUDDY | SAFETY PATROL |
| This role is for grade 4 students. Interested students will be assigned to support outside recess play during the morning and afternoon recesses with the grade 1 students. Students may be directed to support specific individuals within the grade leve. | This role is open to all trained participants in Grade 5 & 6. All student participants must receive the training to qualify for this role. Students must wear a safety vest (provided) and carry a stop sign (provided). Safety patrols begin at 3:05 pm daily. |
